IMMIGRATION

America is a country born from immigration. We do not wish to change this, yet make less complex to legally come to this country for people who want to prosper and make the country a better place. Many illegal immigrants claim to have come to America illegally due to the run a round they receive when attempting to come to America legally. They are looking for freedom, employment, and the advanced health care that our country provides. By making the process of coming to America more user friendly, we can eliminate the struggles many immigrants face when applying for citizenship or their visas.
Illegal immigrants are taking resources that our own legal citizens need. While it is important to help those in need come to the United States, it is also important to protect our country from those who have not. Our country is paying the medical costs for individuals who are not here legally. We should not have to pay for services of people that are not legally here, helping in the economy, and providing goods and services.
Our law enforcement should not be punished for protecting our borders. There have been many incidents of border officials being punished for protecting our borders. We need to remember that these individuals are protecting us and our families. We need to support them as they do so. I will make it a personal project to provide proper protection at the borders. We can use the resources that already exist. Our national guard is deployed enough that we could run their exercises on the border while providing protection at the same time.
