Remove ourselves from dependence on other countries for our resources as a matter of national security. By depending on other countries for items such as oil, we are left in the hands of others. We need to use our own resources and advance our technology to better utilize our natural resources. By providing incentives to various businesses for incorporating the use of energy efficient resources and products we can help businesses help themselves and this country. This is accomplished by the national using less energy overall and therefore the businesses will save money allowing more investment into our future. It will also allow our future to have the resources they need for years to come.
