William Whitney was born in Worcester Massachusetts in 1980 to a lower middle class family. He understands the struggles of our nations families, and vowed to make it his priority to someday represent the people, and show them how to live in a competitive country. He was married in 2001 to Nancy Waitt. The Whitneys moved to Texas in the year 2001. While they have only been in Texas for 11 years they have quickly fallen in love with the people, culture, economic stand point, and work ethic of the people of Texas. They have made Texas their forever home and hope to contribute back to the community which welcomed them with open arms. Their family has grown over the years, now consisting of three young boys and a daughter. Together they have worked to not only provide for their family, but to contribute to their community as well. Both William and Nancy are active in their local schools. Nancy is the elementary school's PTA president and the town's VP on the PTA council, in Wylie Texas. William contributes with the Watch Dog program, assists in many programs at the elementary level, and coached in a local youth soccer league for many years.
While working, volunteering, and supporting his family, he also received his bachelors degree in computer information systems. William believes education is of vast importance, and without a college degree, many doors are shut. He hopes to encourage our country's citizens to attend college, and show them that there are ways to attend school, work, and support your family at the same time.
William has worked in the energy and technology industry his entire career, beginning as a technician and working to a top management position. In 2005 he began a small business in the technology sector. This gave him the opportunity to experience, first hand, the struggles of our small business companies and what they encounter as they attempt to make a dream come to life. William knows that with hard work and diligence the American dream can become a reality, however; the struggles many businesses encounter these days make those dreams more difficult to attain.
William Whitney has seen the rise of interest rates, the struggles of our local families to pay bills and mortgages, and the way our communities have struggled as we attempt to support our neighbors who are losing their homes. American families are facing an unprecedented increase in costs across the board. William is here to help insure that you and your family are able to live comfortably in America, and reap the many rewards our country has to offer. When elected, William Whitney, will work every day to make sure that he represents these people, as he votes on bills and budgets that will directly affect our community and our citizens. William will represent you, the people, and your wishes, as he looks at how the decisions of our policy makers affect every member of our communities.
